You and me. What do we have in common? Why have you even visited this website? You probably feel like you need help with developing self discipline, whether in your personal life or financial or spiritual life.
As someone who has always desired to be great, I find it a little difficult to achieve the task that I set out for myself. I struggle with a lot of problems. I sometimes tell myself, “ Manasseh, LOOK AT YOURSELF, YOU HAVE NO SELF-DISCIPLINE, YOU HAVE ZERO SELF DISCIPLINE!”, I yell as I punch the wall. I’m not perfect and I believe I haven’t even touched the mountain of perfection yet.
So why am I writing this piece? Why should you even care about reading this? Afterall, you should never take advice from someone who isn’t where you want to be yet? And it’s true. If you desire to be rich, you should listen to those who already are. If you desire greatness you must learn from the great. This is the true way to achieve what you want.
But I’m not writing this to give you advice, knowing I’m not the person you should seek advice from. I’m writing this in order to relate with what you are going through. If you are reading this, chances are you struggle with self discipline, with getting this done. You don’t always complete the task. You say you will, but you always procrastinate.
Well, that’s what we both are trying to overcome now. We are both trying to overcome that addiction, whether it be to pornography and musturbation, overeating or whether it’s just pure laziness. You are not the only one going through this and together, we can both overcome any addictions that we are facing and develop the self discipline needed to become the man we want to be.
